Niassa Mozambique

In Northern Mozambique lies a jewel hidden in East Africa. Niassa Reserve is known for its ut most beauty and ruggedness host some of the last wilderness free range areas in Africa. Bordering Tanzania in the North with the famous Selous Game Reserve across the border this is the last save haven for wild Africa in Northern Mozambique.

The Niassa area is made up of several R and L blocks divided in such a manner that each block can offer prime hunting and pristine scenery. The Niassa reserve hosts species like Roosevelt Sable , Niassa Wildebeest , Lichtenstein Hartebeest and Bohems Zebra , all species only found in this region.

Access to Niassa is made easy , direct flights to Lichinga , Nampula , Pemba is available via SA airlink or LAM via Maputo. Our camps are located closer to Lichinga for road transfers to camp and back. Air charters is available from Pemba and Nampula to camp. Niassa is primarily offering Lion , Leopard and Buffalo on qouta with all plains game as add ons. for species like Crocodile and Hippo or Elephant we have our area located in Tete province on the Zambezi river that we use for these species.

Accommodation in Niassa is rustic tented camps as our main accommodation . We also use smaller fly camps 3 to 6 hours from our main camps to get clients closer to the game rich areas. 220 volt diesel generators is used for main power supplies , solar power is also used in some cases . Hot running water and wifi is common in all our main camps. Certain areas only have satellite service available. Niassa hunting season is mainly June to November , hot days with plenty rain is common from December to April .
